If you haven't read the first day you can do it: here
Last time we finished with Grace getting attacked and Jaxon saving her, so what happens when she gets back?
Day 2
She goes back to her room thinking about Jaxon and the stuff he did, she finds Macy, so they have small talk. Grace finds out that today she’s having a Welcome party and she doesn’t really want to go but because her cousin made it, she agrees.
The other chapter is about them getting ready mostly and how Grace doesn’t wear make-up, not like her cousin Macy. But she doesn’t really say how worthless it is or anything so that’s not that bothersome.
It's definitely mentioned throughout the book how she's not like other girls.
As they walk into the room everyone is staring at her but what she finds weird is how everyone has their own clique and nobody walks out from them. She meets a few new people who don’t really matter and also Macy’s boyfriend.
Macy starts making out with her boyfriend. Grace moves and meets Flint and at that moment guess who comes in!
Yes, one and only Jaxon. Everyone starts looking at him but what makes me cringe the most is that he sits down and crushes a strawberry between his lips while looking at Grace.
I know it should look maybe like a power move. And maybe I would eat it up in another book but this just made me cringe so badly.
Feeling suffocated Grace leaves the room and runs to the library. Everything there is prepared for Halloween already and she enjoys her walk there until she hears strange sounds.
And there is Lia (or Alice as I call her) saying those strange words that might be another language.
So I didn’t intend to call her Alice but her words just reminded me so much of her.

You can’t say anything to me. This is exactly what Alice said when she met Bella, it was something along the lines at least.
To cut it short they start talking about things, books, and languages and Lia invites Grace to her room. They go there and Lia makes a cup of tea and as they talk she mentions her dead boyfriend.
He died last year and Lia hasn’t moved on yet. Then Grace gets text messages from worried Macy and she quickly interrupts their tea time. They go back to the room but before that Flint invites them to a snowball fight and Grace gets her altitude sickness back.
To be honest, at first, I thought this is going to be Lia putting something in her tea or something but this book is not that fun, I guess.
Day 3
As the next day comes Grace is at the dormitory and doesn’t have to start school because yesterday she was sick.
So she decided to walk around the school, and prepare for the snowball fight (learn how to make snowballs) and that was basically the plan. Until she sees Jaxon and Lia together.
Both of them are having an intense talk and suddenly Lia hits Jaxon.
To be honest I was a bit shocked at this scene and finally got interested in what is happening.
Well, we don’t get to know that but at least we have Grace relating to those two:

After reading the lines, I was confused. During the book, she never screamed at anyone. If it's about the time when she lost her parents... Could be, but those two situations are completely different.
But after Grace has her ‘me’ moment Lia and Jaxon notice her. Lia invites her to join them but Grace decided to walk away.
However, this is not in the plans of our boy Jaxon so he walks up to her and talks with her. That includes warning about literally anything and Grace is like “I have no idea what you’re talking about”
But during the talk, we get to know that Lia’s ex-boyfriend who died is Jaxon’s older brother.
Grace also just realises that both of them were only wearing jackets but that's because they're used to cold weather, right Grace?
Finally, our girls Macy and Grace are going to the snowball fight (don’t worry it will take them at least 2 chapters to get there)
Macy heard that Grace has talked with Jaxon and warns her about how dangerous he is and that she should forget about him.
But Grace is like I know him, he did nothing but protect me, so he’s not dangerous. But before they can go on Jaxon interrupts them saying that he’s going nowhere from Grace.
And AGAIN we go through Jaxon saying how dangerous it is and that she shouldn’t go to a snowball fight. Grace, however, thinks that he should join them even if nobody wants him there (and Flint shows up at this moment)
What I find really interesting is that when Grace and Jaxon talk back and forth with each other it seems like there’s no one around.
For example, at one moment Jaxon leans toward her and they talk for a few minutes, about how she should be careful and stuff.
And Macy is nowhere to be found, she probably hears this conversation because she’s standing next to them.
But she never refutes that no the school is not dangerous at all, and it’s just a snowball fight, what is this dude talking about?
Then after they all have an intense talk, the three of them start moving toward the door: “Flint herds Macy and me toward the open door.”
But suddenly the two of them disappear and Jaxon gets to have a quick kind of flirty (suggesting him to come with them) conversation with Grace but all I can see in my mind is them shouting at one another, which is hilarious, to be honest.
If you’ve been thinking… Okay, so when is the snowball fight? We’re getting there you didn’t miss anything!
Before that:
Flint: “And no offense, Grace, you’re new here. You have no idea how fucked-up he [Jaxon] is.”
Grace: “And you do?”
I think the guy who spent his whole life in Alaska with the dude you like, knows him better than you, Grace, who just came to the town… My opinion of course.
So the fight finally begins and Macy, Flint, and Grace were together and prepared an arsenal for the fight.
But I think you wouldn’t really know that Grace is the main character if not for this scene:
“The opportunity presents itself when one of the large guys from Flint’s group comes barreling toward me, snowballs hidden in the bottom of the jacket he’s turned into a carrying pouch.” p. 149

So they ran out of snowballs and decide to make more and climb the trees, so others wouldn’t notice. But Grace notices that the branches are more than 15 feet (4.572 m) from the ground.
And Macy just soars up several feet and catches the branch. Sounds shocking right?
Well, Flint takes her in his arms and “starts climbing like some Alaskan version of Spider-Man.” And she still believes they’re human?
As they hit some people with their snowball suddenly something happens and Grace loses her balance and falls down the branch.
What made Grace fall down?
Someone hit her with a snowball and she lost her balance
A wind gust blew her away
The branch broke and she fell
The answer is B. The branch was a bit broken already and it does fall but mostly it's the wind.
I'm sorry if you saw the answer before you pressed it but apparently, there's no quiz button, only a poll.
Very curious about the answers though because my friends couldn’t guess them right, but to be honest if I would be in their position I would have no idea too.
Anyway, Flint catches her while she falls and turns so that she would fall on him, while he would be on lying on the ground.
And of course, Grace is terrified because what if he’s dead or something? But he just stands up and tells her that it’s fine.
Grace questions it for a bit but just assumes that it is because of snow… But one thing that I find interesting is that we never have the chance to imagine how much snow is there.
The texts never show Grace struggling to walk through the snow, or about the sound that it makes. (Correct me if I just spaced out and didn’t notice.)
Before they get to say anything more Jaxon shows up shouting: “What the hell did you think you were doing?”
And Grace tries to explain that Flint saved her life but after a bit of bickering, Macy and Grace start walking towards their dorm with Jaxon.
This is the point where she finds out that she has sprained her ankle and after Jaxon notices he carries her back.
Oh, and there is a mini earthquake that happened. Don’t worry guys it’s DEFINITELY not supernatural because Grace read that they do have those and she’s from San Diego, so the girl is used to it.
But that’s not the problem, the problem is “Here, I’m the girl who fell out of a tree and nearly caused World War III between the two hottest guys in school.”
Can't blame her, if the two hottest guys would fight over me I too wouldn't care about anything that is happening.
So he helps her put ice on the leg, has small talk, warns her again, and walks out (do you see the pattern?)
Then she starts talking with Macy about what happened and the other second Grace is like: “I could use a little bit of my best friend’s [the one in San Diego] brand of sanity.”
And starts ‘chatting’ with her, though it’s like five messages and she’s like “And then because Heather can go on forever and I want to finish this conversation about how Jaxon isn’t an actual movie serial killer.”
Why was this even needed? Just to remind her that she has a best friend or show that she has other interests??
But basically, she just talks with her cousin, gets all angry that her cousin doesn’t know Jaxon as she does, then becomes angry that she doesn’t like him because she knows nothing about him, and in the end, they both eat ice cream.
They talk about Jaxon’s brother but nothing new was said.
The end of day 3
Her days are so full of excitement, so maybe it's just me who's bitter about having such a boring life.
This is hardly the end, though. We have so much more to go through, so stay with me!
